Artworks Creative Communities is delighted to announce that we have been selected as one of only five arts organisations in Yorkshire to participate in The Big Give Challenge 2010. 

The Big Give Challenge brings together gifts from major donors and charities and matches it against individual pledges, so that every donation will be worth twice its original value.  The last Big Give Challenge raised £8.5 million for the 175 participating charities.

The aim of the challenge is to raise funds for Artworks’ new project ‘Get Your Paintbrush Out’, an innovative training programme working with people, from hostels across Bradford District, who have direct experience of homelessness.

‘Get Your Paintbrush Out’ will creatively engage participants by giving them the opportunity to work together on an interior design project where they will be able to learn and practice new skills such as; design, decorating and DIY. The skills gained on this project will enable the participants to maintain and retain future residencies and give them new skills for employment.

Artworks have until Friday, 5^th November 2010 to reach our target of £3000 worth of pledges.
